Samsung Electronics has been named the most valued brand among Asian consumers‚ ending Japanese competitor Sony's four-year winning streak and trumping close rival Apple.
The survey‚ conducted by global research firm Nielsen company shows that the Korean tech giant topped Asia's Most Valued Brand list‚ edging up one spot from its second-place finish last year.
Sony slipped two notches to third‚ while Apple jumped to second from sixth.
The survey‚ which spans 12 Asian countries‚ asked nearly five thousand respondents to name the brand they felt was the most trustworthy in 14 major product and service categories.
