Good afternoon‚ Conn-young.
Now‚ you're going to start us off with the return of a duo that's been dubbed "K-pop royalty" by U.S. music magazine Billboard.
That's right‚ Conn-young.
Their album was released on New Year's Day and has since been receiving positive reviews. No need to "TENSE" up here‚ because you're about to meet the "Kings of K-pop."
Also‚ they say that 30 is the new 20‚ right? Well‚ another very popular K-pop artist is also back with his latest album to you show you just that -- so‚ get your umbrellas out‚ because it's about to start "Rain-ing."
On December 26th‚ 2003‚ a little known‚ rookie K-pop boy band made their debut at a showcase held in Seoul for Britney Spears and fellow label mate BoA.
Now in 2013‚ 10 years later‚ with seven official LP albums under their belt‚ the duo who have been dubbed as the "Kings of K-pop" are back with their latest album titled‚ "TENSE."
SM Entertainment's TVXQ officially released their first album in two years on New Year's Day to the excitement of over 800-thousand members of their official fan club "Cassiopeia."
The lead track off their latest album is titled "Something" and it features an out-of-character jazz-pop tune‚ as opposed to the more electronic based tunes that the duo is known for.
The effect is pulled off very well‚ showing that they are not confined to just one genre of music.
TVXQ shows that even after an incredibly long run as idols in the K-pop industry‚ their music is always evolving and they're up for trying new things.
The "Rain Effect" is in full swing with K-pop artist and actor Rain releasing his sixth official studio album‚ titled "Rain Effect."
Dubbed by the music website Billboard.com as a pioneer of the "Korean Wave" -- Rain shows that he hasn't lost his step -- even after a four-year hiatus from the K-pop scene‚ two years of which were spent serving mandatory military service.
Even with all the publicity that was received for his ongoing relationship with Korean star actress Kim Tae-hee‚ and accusations of violating military service regulations‚ the veteran of the K-pop industry shows his determination with a strong showing from both of his lead singles.
The first of which‚ titled "30Sexy‚" features a slick-suited Rain‚ performing his signature dance moves to a hip-hop tune.
The second of his two lead tracks‚ titled "La Song‚" is quite the opposite‚ showing off‚ yet again‚ that his dance moves have not gotten rusty despite his prolonged hiatus‚ but featuring Rain in a grungy and Carnivale atmosphere.
