Meanwhile crude prices in New York fell to the lowest level in five months as concerns eased that shipments from Iran‚ the world's fourth-biggest oil producer‚ will be curbed over nuclear tensions.
Crude oil for October delivery fell $1.10 to $67.50 in New York.
Brent crude declined $1.16 to $66.93 in London.
Also easing concers tropical Storm Florence‚ hundreds of miles out to sea‚ is forecast to strengthen but is not seen impacting key oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico.
