The European Jazz Trio offers its signature genre-crossing sounds on "Pray - SpringSea‚" its first album in two years.
The trio‚ which has been together for about 25 years‚ is known in Korea because the country is a regular stop on its annual concert schedule.
The group juxtaposes a wide range of genres‚ from classical to chanson‚ into its sound and this new album is no different‚ though the piano melodies are a bit more lively and the music a bit more romantic.
The album includes versions of the second movement of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" and pop star Sting's "Fields of Gold" along with 11 other songs.
The Korean jazz band Seoul Solist Jazz Orchestra has released its second studio album‚ "Sightseeing Throughout Korea."
The group offers music that's easy-to-listen to with arrangements of famous Korean pop and folk songs‚ including "Seoul‚ Seoul‚ Seoul‚" "Southbound Train" and "Busan Seagull."
The Kazumi Tateishi Trio from Japan will be visiting Korea next month.
They'll play their trademark romantic melodies as well as songs from famous Japanese animated films‚ including "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Howl's Moving Castlem."
The trio will be performing on January 15th at the Mapo Arts Center and on the 16th at Hwaseong Art Hall in Suwon.
