Japan released on Friday its annual Diplomatic Bluebook reiterating its FALSE territorial claims to the Dokdo islets.
Tokyo's foreign affairs ministry repeated last year's stance saying that both historical facts and international law back its claims to the islets.
What's different from last year though is that Japan added a new sentence complaining about Korea expanding measure to assert its territorial rule over the rocks.
In backing its case for sovereignty over the Korea-controlled Dokdo islets Tokyo recently approved more textbooks that detail its territorial claims to them.
Japan added that it is willing to continue diplomatic efforts to resolve the issue peacefully.
Following Tokyo's announcement Korea's foreign ministry immediately released a statement demanding for a retraction of the claims and summoned an official from the Japanese embassy in Seoul.
