After a long winterthere may be finally some good news for drivers in Korea….
Korea's largest oil refinery‚ SK Energy‚ said Sunday it will reduce its gasoline and diesel prices.
The company says it will cut prices by 100-won per liter from Thursday April 7th.
The cheaper prices will last for 3 months until July 6th.
SK Energy says‚ however‚ that gas prices are volatile as they are highly dependent on the international price of crude oil.
Other domestic oil refineries will likely to follow SK Energy's lead by cutting prices.
Minister of Knowledge Economy‚ Choi Joong-Kyung‚ has praised the company's decision saying that should help ease the financial burden on Korean citizens.
