South Korea's Unification Ministry said that Seoul and Pyeongyang will each be sending three volcanic and seismic activity experts to the meeting to be held at the border town of Munsan
The talks were agreed upon by the two Koreas upon North Korean request‚ asking for the South’s cooperation in researching the highest peak on the Korean peninsula‚ which experts say has been showing signs of a possible eruption.
The volcano last erupted in 1903‚ but minor earthquakes increased there between 2002 and 2005.
