요약정보
The IOC Evaluation Commission members began their second day of inspections in Pyeongchang at nine in the morning by visiting the ski jump tower at Alpensia‚ where they were briefly given an on-site presentation.
They then moved on to the stadiums for cross-country skiing and the biathlon where the National Winter Sports Festival is currently taking place.
These stadiums only existed on paper four years ago but now they are standing ready to host the international event.

2018 Pyeongchang Bid Committee
] "Evaluators came up to me and said that it is really hard to believe we've built all these facilities already. So they were really satisfied with the results and wished us good luck this time. I was really happy after the presentation."
More than half of the stadiums needed have been built enabling presenters to show the actual sites this time around rather than let the evaluators use their imaginations.
And as for the other venues that have not yet been built such as the Olympic Village in Alpensia and the alpine ski slopes in Jeongseon the on-site presentations had to be in more detail.

All of the presentations took place behind closed doors but every corner of the city they went the evaluation team was overwhelmingly greeted by local residents.
The locals said they really want to see Pyeongchang bring home its first Winter Games believing that they are more prepared than ever as this is their third attempt.
[Interview : Lee Ok-kyung‚ Jeongseon resident] "All of the locals hope Pyeongchang will host the 2018 Winter Olympics. We really hope so. Fighting Pyeongchang!"
On Friday the evaluation team will head to Gangneung‚ a roughly 30-minute drive from Alpensia‚ to inspect the ice sports venues after watching more presentations on topics such as Pyeongchang's financial status and marketing strategies in the morning.
Final briefings on areas like security issues and media management will take place on Saturday morning before the entire process ends with a press conference at 5:30 p.m.
The commission will then leave the country on Sunday.
