And over in Tunisia
The interim government has banned the former ruling Constitutional Democratic Rally Party which is affiliated with ousted President Ben Ali.
Appearing on national television on Sunday‚ the Tunisian interior minister said all of the RCD's political activities will be suspended and all its offices shut down.
The ban follows a clash on Saturday in the northwestern town of Kef‚ in which a crowd attacked a police station a day after police shot and killed at least two protesters.
The Kef incident was the worst violence in Tunisia since Ben Ali fled to Saudi Arabia‚ ending his 23-year rule.
