At least 36 people have been killed and dozens more injured after a 400-year-old mosque minaret collapsed in Morocco on Friday.
According to one of the survivors about 300 people were inside the mosque when the structure gave way and toppled on top of worshippers in the middle of prayer.
Although the exact cause of the collapse is unclear at the moment reports say the incident comes after several days of heavy rainfall.
Rescue operations are progressing slowly as workers are being forced to make do without heavy equipment because of the narrow streets in the old city medina district where the collapsed mosque minaret is located.
