The Prime Minister of Canada‚ Stephen Harper‚ is coming to Korea early next month at the invitation of President Lee Myung-bak.
The two leaders will hold a summit on December 7th the first day of Harper's two-day visit to Korea and are expected to exchange their views on issues of mutual interest such as trade‚ natural resources and advancing bilateral relations to a special partnership.
The two countries will each be holding G20 economic summits next year.
Also visiting Korea are the President of Chile Michelle Bachelet and the Peruvian President Alan Garcia.
President Lee is expected to hold separate talks with the South American leaders next week to discuss practical ways to cooperate in energy and natural resources and global issues such as climate change and economic recovery.
