We begin with news of a powerful earthquake measuring 8.3 on the Richter scale off the SOUTH Pacific island nation of Samoa Tuesday local time.
The tremor reportedly triggered a tsunami of almost one.six meters in AMERICAN Samoa and a 0.7 meter wave in Samoa.
There have been reports of casualties but figures have yet to be disclosed.
Meanwhile tsunami warnings have also been issued for the islands of Hawaii Solomon Island Midway Island the Cook Islands Fiji New Zealand and French Polynesia.
