A strong typhoon that is currently lashing southern Japan is also affecting Korea's Jeju Island and regions in the south.
Typhoon Man-yi is packing winds of up to 158 kilometers per hour‚ and the local weather agency has issued warnings for gusty winds in southern coastal cities like Pohang‚ Busan and Ulsan.
The typhoon has also disrupted air travel.
Dozens of domestic flights and about 15 international flights to Japan have been cancelled.
Under the effects of Typhoon Man-yi‚ Gangwon and Gyeongsang provinces are forecast to receive up to 80 millimeters of rain this weekend.
