Austrian President Heinz Fischer is slated to visit Korea for four days from April 1st.
He will be the first Austrian head of state to visit Korea since the two countries formed diplomatic ties in 1963.
Mr. Fischer will hold summit talks with President Roh Moohyun on April 2nd on improving bilateral economic ties and boosting trade and security in their respective regions.
The two sides are especially keen on raising cooperation in the auto and machinery sectors.
The Austrian President will be accompanied by several high-ranking officials and 50 businessmen from the European country.
