President Roh Moo-hyun has departed for a six-day tour to Vietnam to attend the annual APEC leaders' meeting this weekend and for a state visit to Cambodia next week.
Upon his arrival in Hanoi‚ Friday afternoon‚ President Roh will sit down for a one-on-one with Chinese president Hu Jintao to discuss the North Korean nuclear stalemate.
Prior to the APEC summit Saturday‚ the South Korean leader will also hold a trilateral meeting with US President George W. Bush and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to finetune their stance ahead of the expected six-party nuclear talks.
This is the first such meeting between Seoul‚ Washington and Tokyo since President Roh Moo-hyun took office in 2003.
