Now despite tensions surrounding Pyeongyang's possible missile test‚ the 14th round of inter-Korean family reunions are underway in North Korea.
The second group of South Koreans‚ more than 140 of them‚ kicked off a three-day meeting with their relatives in the North's Mount Geumgang today.
On their schedule‚ group and individual meetings as well as an outdoor excursion.
This round of reunions for family members‚ separated during the Korean war more than half a century ago‚ is being held to mark the sixth anniversary of the inter-Korean summit between former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung and North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.
The special reunions will continue until the 30th‚ all in all reuniting more than 400 families from each side of the inter-Korean border.
