US President-elect Barack Obama visited the White House Monday‚ local time for the first time since his election victory last week.

The Bush administration has been opposing giving the troubled automotive industry a piece of the 700 billion US dollar bailout fund established to stabilize Wall Street in October.
After his first visit to the presidential chamber Obama went back to work on his plans for the transfer of power on January 20th.
Meanwhile Obama's presidential transition team says Monday it would not announce key positions for the incoming administration this week.
