Moving onto Morocco:
The North African country's largest port city and economic capital‚ Casablanca‚ saw 55 people dead and a dozen others severely injured in a fire at a mattress factory on Saturday.
A Moroccan official news agency also reported that the blaze engulfed the five-story building in Lissasfa‚ an industrial area of Casablanca‚ despite a three-hour-long battle fought by about 100 firefighters.
Although the cause of the blaze was not known right away‚ the deaths resulted from asphyxiation or burns.
A security office told AFP that it might have been an accident and a government statement said chemical products in the plant aggravated the fire.
The news agency added that an investigation is ongoing.
