Analysts are expecting some sort of decision from President Roh Moo-hyun after he returns to Seoul from his Africa visit on Tuesday.
As for the President's final engagements in Algeria‚ the last leg of his three-nation African diplomacy tour.
President Roh spoke with members of Algeria's Lower and Upper House‚ seeking a bilateral partnership on international issues.
While meeting with business leaders there‚ the President highlighted the potential economic benefits from combining Korea's advanced technology with Algeria's rich natural resources.
Mr. Roh is the first Korean head of state to visit Africa in 24 years‚ with this trip focused on boosting economic cooperation with Africa.
He met with the leaders of Egypt‚ Nigeria and Algeria‚ and promised to triple Korea's Official Development Assistance for Africa to an annual 100 million U.S. dollars by 2008.
