Hello‚ I'm Yang Un-jung with your weather forecast.
The hot summer heat and humidity came back over the weekend with temperatures peaking in the low to mid 30s and even heat advisories issued in the southern regions today.
We'll continue to see this scorching hot weather through this week‚ so I hope you enjoy this last bit of summer.
Except there will be some rain in the forecast for the central regions and North Jeolla Province tomorrow.
The amount should be minimal with less than 10 millimeters‚ but you should still have your umbrella handy if you're in these areas.
Here are your highs for Tuesday
We're expecting 31 degrees here in the capital Seoul‚ and the same for both Daegu and Busan.
Gwangju is going to be the hottest city in the country tomorrow at 32.
Daejeon will see a high of 30‚ and one lower in Jeju at 29.
Dokdo at 26 and Mt. Geumgang will climb to 23 degrees.
Moving on to the international weather
Tropical storm Nanmadol is currently near southwestern Taiwan.. and by the time we head into Tuesday it should cross the east coast of China and will bring some very heavy downpours into Shanghai.
But the good news is that the storm is in the process of weakening.
Meanwhile‚ another tropical storm‚ Talas‚ is still out in the Pacific heading northward to Japan‚ so keep a close eye on it if you're near there.
Down under
There's a long band of showers stretching along Australia's northeast coast which will affect Sydney and Brisbane on Tuesday‚ but further south Melbourne and Victoria are expecting a dry day with mostly sunny skies.
And one or two showers will continue to affect New Zealand as well on Tuesday.
Flying over to North America
A beautiful forecast for the northeastern US following Hurricane Irene‚ crystal clear skies and plenty of sunshine for Tuesday‚ so try to enjoy it as much you can.
Most of the Midwest will see similar conditions as well while there will be monsoonal showers and thunderstorms across the southwest.
Down in South America
A very hot and sunny day is expected in most of southeastern Brazil on Tuesday with highs close to 30 degrees‚ but be prepared for some showers coming in from Argentina the following day.
Showers in western Chile are finally clearing away and returning to its typical sunshine and temperatures should also bounce back up nicely.
Into Europe
Most of the northern regions will be under partly cloudy skies on Tuesday‚ but luckily there are no reports of rain.
Towards the souththings will clear out pretty nicely under plenty of sunshine.
Lastly in Africa
Dakar you can look forward to a perfectly dry day on Tuesday.
Algiers has some clouds in the picture‚ but Addis Ababa will continue to see showers and thunderstorms with the usual rain.
