In an act of rare violence in Taiwan‚ police arrested a man suspected of beheading a four-year-old girl on the street outside a Taipei metro station. Local media say the little girl was struggling with her bicycle when the man attacked‚ the girl's mother powerless to stop him. (MANDARIN) "My daughter was not where she should have been‚ or next to her bicycle‚ but lying on the ground." An angry mob attacked the suspect as he was moved outside of a police station in Taipei. According to Taiwan's Central News Agency‚ police believe the attacker has a history of mental illness and drug abuse. Bruce‚ the killing has reignited debate in Taiwan over the death penalty. What are people saying? The death penalty is legal in Taiwan but there's been a lot effort to ban it.
