Controversy is brewing as allegations surface that diplomatic documents and contact information of hundreds of Korean politicians were leaked to a Chinese woman who was having illicit relationships with Korean diplomats in Shanghai.
Seoul's justice and foreign ministries have confirmed that the woman‚ believed to be in her 30's‚ was involved in an affair with a former consulate officer in Shanghai who was later forced to resign.
However‚ no evidence has yet come to light that links the leaks to that relationship‚ as well as several other suspected relationships she had with Korean diplomats.
The woman's Korean husband‚ who initially raised the allegations‚ disclosed the list of cell phone numbers‚ visa issuance records and photos of his wife and the diplomats stored in her computer.
