Meanwhile‚ marches continued in the Bahraini capital Manama‚ with men walking on one side of the street and women on the other‚ shouting anti-government slogans and calling for democratic reform.
The majority Shiite muslim community is demonstrating against the ruling Sunni elites and its monarchy.
Protestors are trying to pressure the government by staging protests around the city and continuing their presence at Pearl Square.
The pro-democracy movement is known to be affecting other parts of the Arab world which have not yet been swept up in the unrest‚ such as Saudi Arabia‚ Kuwait and Qatar.
