President Park Geun-hye is plugging ahead with her deregulation drive‚ calling for the removal of regulations that hinder individuals from participating in the generation and sales of energy.
At an international forum on renewable energy in Seoul on Thursday‚ President Park said having individuals and communities create energy markets of their own could foster new energy-related industries.
The government has been promoting new investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector‚ in the process of tackling climate change.
