The fuel has been relatively cheap to use but even that's about to change with the price of a liter of LPG going up more than 10 percent in just a matter of days.

The general rise in energy prices is creating a further financial burden for consumers on the lower end of the economic spectrum.
The latest price of liquefied petroleum gas per liter in Korea is now over one-thousand won or slightly over a US dollar at the pump‚ a jump of almost 80 won from just last month.
The rise in cost is in part due to an announcement by two large domestic import companies: SK Gas and E1 of an increase in price of LPG by nine percent per kilogram.
And now with LPG prices at over a dollar‚ those getting hit the hardest will be frequent users of the fuel that is taxi drivers and those who drive handicap vans.

This move comes as the prices of other forms of fuel are climbing as well.
The cost of propane used mostly for heating and cooking has also jumped almost 13 percent from last month to around one‚800 won.
A 20-percent increase is also expected from Seoul City Gas‚ the company that supplies heating and cooking fuel to the capital region.
And with the price of diesel and gasoline flirting with the two-thousand won per liter mark‚ there is no doubt that this trend will continue to affect everyday consumers.
