With less than 100 days to go until the 2012 London Olympics kick off‚ the organizing committee has announced the official motto for this year's games -- "Inspire a Generation."
Committee chairman Sebastian Coe said Wednesday that the motto was picked with the hope of inspiring younger generations in Britain and around the world through the 2012 Games.
A giant set of Olympic rings made up of 20-thousand flowers was also unveiled on Wednesday to celebrate the start of the 100-day countdown.
International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge also expressed confidence that the British capital will extend a warm welcome to visitors from all over the world.
The London Games are scheduled to take place from July 27th to August 12th.
