For companies that rely on information‚ security is of the utmost importance. Modern corporations are constantly at risk of losing the documents they save onto computer hard drives. There is also the possibility that documents could be leaked by former employees.
All documents are a company's assets‚ and must be closely monitored. However‚ most companies have trouble managing all of their documents at once.
To help companies secure and manage their documents‚ Net-ID has introduced an innovative new system. Net-ID develops and sells secure file server solutions for use in centralizing internal documents.

The Central ECM‚ or Enterprise Content Management‚ is a program that prevents personal computers from saving work related files onto their hard drives. Instead‚ the files are saved onto central servers so that they can be managed systematically. The program increases productivity and improves security.

Net-ID] "The document management programs that are currently in use by most corporations involve inconvenient document registration processes and make it difficult for employees to centralize and combine the documents from individual PCs. We wanted to create an easy-to-use interface that would allow companies to effectively gather their documents into one place."
Managing documents through a central server does not fundamentally change anything about computer use. Even after the program is installed‚ documents can be edited and videos played as usual.
The program's functions also extend to smartphones. Smartphone users can connect to the program and view the documents that are stored on the central server‚ as well as save their own documents on the server.

Net-ID] "The most unique characteristic of our product is that files created on individual PCs are not saved on the hard drive but on a central server. Once our product is installed‚ an individual document folder and an affiliated document folder is created on the hard drive. This allows users to easily save files onto the central server."
The program changes the process of composing and saving files. Before installing the program‚ files are normally saved to the PC's local disk. After program installation‚ the files are sent to a central server.
The central server also improves security by making it impossible to move files from the central server to a removable drive or storage device‚ like USB flash drives.

] "All records of file use are recorded in the database. The manager can constantly get detailed information about when and where someone has used what file."
Net-ID's Central ECM is being welcomed by companies with large volumes of documents because it provides for effective management on top of security. The Seoul branch of a Japanese pharmaceutical company reports that its productivity in securing and organizing its documents was improved after using the Central ECM.
