Winner of last year's International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition Cho Seong-jin and the internationally renowned London Symphony Orchestra are recording their first album together‚ which is slated to be released in November this year. Some of the songs they're playing together includes Chopin's 'Piano Concerto No.1' the piece Cho had played with flying colors at the prestigious Chopin Competition. "The recording's different from when the version I played for the competition in that a movement's played repeatedly for multiple times." It took the team NINE hours during their two-day practice to play and record the 40-minute piece. Cho says it was a tough piece to record but added it was an honor to be able to do a collaboration with the internationally renowned orchestra led by Italian Maestro Gianandrea Noseda. "The orchestra played the piece just as I've imagined how it would be like to be played." Cho hinted that he has already selected Chopin's four ballades as some of his favorite pieces to be recorded in September. All 50-thousand copies of Cho's last album‚ which contained 30 tracks of his winning live performance at the Chopin Competition‚ were sold within a week of its release last year.
