Let's shift over to our arts and culture segment.
Today‚ we'll be looking at a fusion concert and‚ as always‚ we have our Yim Yoonhee with us for a closer look at that.

Tell us more about this concert‚ which I hear takes place at Ewha Womans University.
This is an event that shows the similarities and differences between two countries‚ Korea and Germany‚ through a display of visual art and music.

The voice is an instrument for many when it comes to the arts.
For others‚ it can be a violin or guitar.
Regardless of the means‚ the end result is an expression of the artist and‚ in this case‚ an experience of the classical that includes everything from the harmony of music to the power of a painting.
"The creation of music and painting comes from the same source of inspiration. So we've prepared a fun way to enjoy both at the same time. But East and West are very different when it comes to the two subjects‚ so we also wanted to show the differences while still allowing people to appreciate both."
Ewha Womans University is a prestigious school with a vast arts department‚ the perfect host for this year's arts concert.
The distinct sounds of Korean traditions and culture represent the East‚ in this cultural exchange.
Together‚ these traditional Korean sounds come together to create a harmonic partnership‚ brought forth by the Ewha Traditional Music Ensemble‚ a group of musicians that brings the unique sounds of each instrument to life.
"The most prominent feature of the daegeum is that it makes a very clear sound. The most famous daegeum solo is called 'Cheongseonggok' and it goes like this
Nowdays‚ the need to spread Korean music is not as prominent. Instead we can use our will power and efforts to create the music and sounds we want to hear‚ and this is the perfect opportunity to do that."

And as we just saw‚ the two featured countries are Korea and Germany.
Tell us more about the event.
It'll take place tomorrow night on the Ewha campus‚ where they'll be showing roughly 40 paintings by Korean and German artists.
They'll also have performances‚ categorized into four sections: [HUMANISM] [EXTRAORDINARINESS] [NOBILITY] and [REALISM].
So a wide variety of pieces to be expected tomorrow.
And this is something they plan on continuing in the future‚ right?
Yes. Every year they have a collaboration with a different country with a history in classical music and the arts.
Before they've done it with Austria and in the future they plan on bringing in Italy‚ France‚ as well as Spain‚ all countries with quite a bit to offer in terms of classical music and art.
The participants are also made up of students as well‚ as it does take place on the Ewha campus‚ so it's a great opportunity for other students to see this cultural interchange.
