And now it's time for our Arts and Culture segment with Yim Yoonhee.
Good afternoon.
As today is Parent's Day‚ I imagine there are some events our parents are would enjoy.
Yes‚ here in Seoul we have a few events.
But let's first start with a musical drama‚ a musical drama is a little lighter in terms of content than your average musical and the drama aspect is very important as well.
This particular performance is back after over 10 years of being off the stage‚ and this time they're recruited some very famous actors‚ many of whom our parents might recognize.
Let's take a look.

It's the very first night‚ and she's been abandoned by her husband. Left to fend for her child‚ it's a story about a woman's fate.
"A Fleeting Spring Day" is a musical drama‚ sometimes called an operetta‚ and hasn't been on the stage since 2003.
And after an 11 year break‚ the performance is back with a veteran cast.
"This is the first time I'm doing a musical drama and it's honestly a little tricky starting from the lines to the whole performance."
It's a mix of light music‚ dancing‚ and acting set in a traditional time period weaved together on the stage‚ the result is a crowd pleaser‚ especially for the middle-aged audience.
"Not only is this musical drama good for the younger generations‚ we're recreating the songs from the old madang-nori‚ but it would be a waste if we just stopped there."
This light hearted production has been away from the stage for years‚ but this recent revival is already peaking the interest of many‚ especially the actors‚ who've each had years of experience in the business.
"I've been doing musical drama's for 15 years‚ but this is the role I've wanted to do the most. Also this type of acting is an upgraded version of the acting I did 10 years ago."
In a market controlled by foreign productions‚ this Korean traditional musical drama will hopefully bring a boost to the Korean domestic market in a "Fleeting Spring Day."

Our parents saw such a transitional time period in Korea. It seems like this musical drama takes place during a period our parents can connect with.
This performance was very successful when it first debuted in 2003‚ it showed at
Seoul Arts Center and the National Theater of Korea‚ and now it seems to already be just as popular especially with the middle aged audience because they can really relate to it.
The musical aspect in combination with the dramatic plot makes it very entertaining.
What other events could we find around the city?
Here in Seoul there are many art galleries that you could take your parents to in order to let them relax.
The Seoul Arts Center in Seocho-gu has a couple of lovely galleries featuring works from many artists.
Jongno-gu is also home to many art galleries and exhibitions.
Or if you want to kill two birds with one stone‚ there are dinner shows available.
Here in Seoul‚ Lee Mi-ja has a dinner show tonight.
She was a very popular singer a few years back‚ I'm sure many parents were fans of her.
With the weather permiting and depending on your parent's preference‚ you can plan a lovely night out tonight.
