Let's see what he has in store for us on this fine autumn afternoon in Seoul.
Good afternoon‚ Tae-ho.
Good afternoon‚ Conn-young.
So‚ Tae-ho it is fall which means trees and mountains turn red‚ orange‚ and yellow here in Korea.
And‚ I'm hoping I still have the chance to catch the beautiful fall foliage before the weather turns cold and the leaves die out.
Well I'm sure many people are wondering the same thing‚ so I went out and found some great spots to enjoy the rather late fall foliage this year. Let's take a look.
The chilly winds of fall offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy the lovely work of art that Mother Nature so gracefully presents us every year: the fall foliage.
And you don't even need to travel out of the capital city to enjoy the masterpiece.
Namsan offers the perfect course for enjoying the wonderful fall foliage.
Starting in Namdaemun Market and following the path to Namsan Library‚ then again from the library down the mountain‚ you are embraced by the thick forest on both sides‚ bursting with the colors of autumn.
The trail also offers a wonderfully unique and new perspective as you look down into the city below.
While continuing on the path‚ you are offered the perfect opportunity to take in the breathtaking view from one of the most city's most famous landmarks: Seoul Tower.
The view from above presents a chance to experience a 360-degree view of the city and the lovely fall foliage.
The best way to enjoy Namsan Mountain's fall foliage? Simply hop on subway line 4 and get off at Chungmuro Station.
And in the north of Seoul‚ a walk around any of the five parks that make up World Cup Park in the Sangam-dong area is a fantastic way to take in the beauty of Mother Nature.
Haneul Park‚ which translates to Sky Park‚ offers the highest elevation in the area‚ and a fantastic view after climbing the 290 steps to its peak.
Haneul Park's famous redwood path has 900 meters of beautiful fall foliage to view on the incredible redwood trees that line the path.
World Cup Park can be reached by taking subway line 6 and getting off at World Cup Stadium Station.
In the eastern part of Seoul‚ experiencing the fall foliage means a visit to Seokchon Lake and walking along a path circling calm waters that are currently surrounded by an amalgamation of different colors.
One of the many popular attractions for visitors is the lake‚ which is split into two parts.
The West Lake offers the Norimadang‚ a popular spot for performances‚ while the East Lake offers a lush park and popular walking trail.
Getting to Seokchon Lake is as easy as hopping on to subway line 2 and getting off at Jamsil Station.
The lake is a 200 meter walk from exit number 3.
Those are some very convenient places around Seoul to enjoy the lovely weather and of course the beautiful fall foliage. But there are obviously many places in Seoul that offer their own unique views.
Indeed‚ there are the classic spots in Central Seoul that are always amazing at this time of year such as‚ Deoksogung and the Samcheong-dong area‚ which also offer many other attractions as well. But honestly‚ it is as easy as going out to your neighborhood park or walking trail to enjoy the rather warm fall that we are having.
Not to mention that going out for an evening walk and taking in some fresh air is very good for your health too. Well‚ even besides these well known areas there are even more places that offer a chance to enjoy the fall correct?
That's right. In the city of Seoul alone‚ there are roughly 80 different spots that are known for fall foliage.
