Famous for creating animated films like "Toy Story" and "Cars‚" Pixar's 13th film‚ "Brave‚" has been getting great reviews since it was released over the summer. Now‚ it's finally opening in Korea this week. Here are the details on the film and what sets it apart.
Filled with realistic images and a strong plotline‚ Pixar's 13th animated film has wowed audiences in the U.S. and around the world since its opening this summer. It hits theaters in Korea on Thursday.
"Brave" tells the story of a strong-willed princess named Merida with curly orange hair. Unlike other princesses who like to do more womanly activities‚ Princess Merida loves to ride horses and shoot arrows. Her mother‚ however‚ would like Merida to be like other young women and get married. When Merida asks a witch for help with her predicament‚ her mom is cursed and she must race against time to reverse it.
Pixar's films have always won critical and commercial success worldwide‚ and one of the biggest reasons for that is its strong plotlines.
The producers create innovative stories that are easy to relate to.
But the stories themselves are not easy to create. Story development can take 5 years or more and the creative team spends a lot of time and effort shaping the impeccable details
For "Brave‚" the entire staff studied archery to create more detailed images for the film.
Katherine Sarafian‚ the film's producer‚ said these steps were necessary to create a fully realized images.

The film will be released in Korea on September 27th.
