요약정보
Since 1960‚ NO ONE has won the presidency without winning at least two of three key swing states -- Ohio‚ Pennsylvania and Florida.
In a swing state‚ there is no clear favorite candidate or party and voters are liable to swing from one to another.
With the presidential election coming up on November 6th‚ new polls conducted by Quinnipiac University‚ CBS News and the New York Times showed that President Barack Obama is leading his Republican challenger Mitt Romney in all three critical battleground states.
President Obama has 50 percent support in Ohio‚.. while Romney trails behind with 44 percent.
With hopes of keeping that majority‚ President Obama headed over to Ohio to promise voters more jobs and a better economy.
[Interview : Barack Obama‚ U.S. President] "Our first order of business is to recover all the jobs and wealth that was lost in the crisis. And we've made strides the last 3 and a half years to get that done."
The president is stronger in Pennsylvania‚ where he has an 11-point lead over Romney.
The two candidates are closely split in Florida with President Obama at 51 percent and Romney at 45 percent.
Pundits say.. far more voters feel that President Obama seems like someone who cares about the needs and problems of people like them than Romney‚ but they don't believe the president will be able to take care of the ongoing financial problems plaguing the nation.
Voters are split on Romney's business background‚ with half of them saying he will be able to create more jobs‚ while the other half saying he's too focused on making profits.
Romney is hoping to bring up his numbers with a bus tour that he starts next week. The tour will make stops in the states of Virginia‚ Colorado and North Carolina
