So what do you have for us today[Reporter : ] Well‚ we have waited three long years to see the end of Christopher Nolan's "Batman" series. Along with our glorious Batman‚ Christian Bale‚ there are a couple of new cast members to mark the spectacular end of the Batman trilogy.
It was a bittersweet evening for the cast and crew of the blockbuster "Dark Knight" trilogy‚ as they gathered in New York on Monday for the premiere of the final film in the series.
Although Christian Bale and three of the series stars have returned to reprise their roles‚ a lot of other things have changed since last time.
The third film takes place eight years after "The Dark Knight‚" when Bruce Wayne lost his love Rachel Dawes and killed Harvey Dent‚ who later turns into the villian Two-Face. At the end of the second film‚ Batman was held publicly accountable for Dent's death.
Now‚ Gotham seems to be at peace‚ but that changes when the newest super villian‚ Bane‚ played by Tom Hardy‚ comes into the picture.
As the main villian of "The Dark Knight Rises‚" Bane has superior strength and intelligence -- enough to pose a serious threat to Batman.
Another new addition to the series is Anne Hathaway‚ who plays Selina Kyle -- the character better known as Catwoman. Wearing a beautiful white Prabal Gurung gown at the film's premiere earlier this week‚ the actress told the press that she has always dreamt of this femme fatale role.
[Interview : Anne Hathaway‚ Actress] "In some weird alternate version of reality I think every girl‚ sometimes boy does but I never expected it to come true. I am so proud to be‚ to have taken any part in this film and the fact that I have taken part in such an iconic role‚ I mean don't know quite what to say. It's very exciting."
"The Dark Knight Rises" will be released in theaters in Korea today.
