Fierce battles across Libya continue as armed anti-government protesters and Muammar Gadhafi's loyalists fight for control of towns near the capital‚ Tripoli.
International media reported that tanks and anti-aircraft crews were deployed to all major intersections.

On Tuesday‚ United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‚ who had just returned from Geneva‚ called for American global leadership to help resolve the chaotic situation.
[Interview : Hillary Clinton‚ US Secretary of State] "The entire region is changing and a strong and strategic American response is essential. In the years ahead‚ Libya could become a peaceful democracy or it could face protracted civil war."
With fears that Gadhafi could wage air strikes against his own people the US and the European Union are thinking of imposing a no-fly zone over Libya.
Aircraft are not allowed to fly through a no-fly zone and it's usually imposed to prevent possible bombing and chemical attacks from the air.
[Interview : Mike Mullen‚ US Joint Chiefs of Staff] "If we were to set it up‚ if that were something that was decided to do‚ we'd have to work our way through doing it in a safe manner and not put ourselves in jeopardy."
The UN General Assembly has unanimously suspended Libya's membership in the UN Human Rights Council for violations of human rights on Tuesday.
Meanwhile‚ tens of thousands of people are continuing to flee the chaos.
According to the UN refugee agency nearly 150-thousand refugees‚ most of them migrant workers‚ have crossed into Tunisia and Egypt on Monday.
Although transit camps are being set up‚ refugees are reported to be spending chilly nights sleeping outside around the border post‚ waiting for transport.
