Hello Nari‚ since the year of the tiger is now rolling in I hear there are many products in Korea with images of the tiger on them[Reporter : ] Right‚ as you might have guessed whenever the lunar new year comes the animal of that year gets the spotlight all of the sudden.
And now it is tiger's turn to shine in 2010 as it is the year of the tiger.
Oh‚ and it is not just the year of the tiger but it is the year of the white tiger a year that comes along only once every 60 years.
So imagine how lucky and hopeful people feel about this new year especially Koreans who are fond of this brave creature.
And some businesses in Korea are targeting this trend producing countless products with tiger images on them.
The strategy seems working as many consumers are attracted to these special products.
As a result both consumers and sellers believe the tiger products will bring fortune and luck.
It is now the tiger's turn to conquer the year of 2010 with its powerful roar.
This sometimes scary creature is being eagerly welcomed by people in Korea as they start the year of tiger with a strong and hopeful spirit inspired by one of their favorite animals.
[Interview : Suh Gong-im‚ Artist ] "The tiger is Koreans' favorite animal among the 12 animal signs for the new year. It is believed to bring luck and protect us from bad luck and evil spirits. Therefore‚ the tiger is especially loved by Koreans compared to other animals."
Detailed‚ painted tiger faces are attracting passers-by at the '100 Tiger' painting exhibition.
To most Koreans‚ the tiger is a very friendly animal that brings fortune and luck.

Among the various bottles of wine from different countries being displayed people can spot some special bottles right away.
This is a limited version of tiger wine.
The content is produced in France‚ but the label features a traditional tiger painting done by a Korean aritst.
[Interview : Kim Chae-eun‚ Clerk ] "To celebrate the year of the white tiger‚ we have released a limited edition run of 1000 bottles of special wine with a painting of a Korean traditional tiger on the bottles' label. They are sold for a good price compared to its quality‚ it is meaningful to purchase the one and only tiger wine."
No celebration is complete without a good bottle of wine.
To celebrate the incoming year of the tiger properly people find it meaningful to get a bottle of tiger wine.
[Interview : Park Young-shin‚ Customer ] "Celebrating the year of the tiger with a bottle of wine that has tiger painting on it seems meaningful. It would be a good gift for my friends."
Different houseware items with images of tigers on them are also sold at good prices.
Kitchenware a tiger bank.. slippers and cushions are all decorated with the friendly creature.
Books on tigers are also popular items for new year's gifts.
This company has released a series of children books with stories only about tigers and they are selling like hot cakes.
[Interview : Sun Sang-woo‚ Deputy section chief ] "This series of books are produced to offer folk tales of the tiger to children as we celebrate the year of the tiger. Many customers are ordering the books as Chinese new year holiday gifts for their children."
Each book has the different illustrations of tigers.
Some are friendly pictures and some are scary images of the tiger.
