Artists from around the world gathered in Morocco for an international performing arts festival.
It was a chance for performers to take their craft to the streets.
Various street performers from France‚ Belgium‚ Germany and of course‚ host country Morocco‚ gathered in the streets of the capital‚ Rabat‚ and its twin city Sale.
For the third year in a row‚ performers comprised of storytellers‚ inventors‚ musicians and comedians displayed their talent out in the open for free.
A giant doll called Madame Mika paraded the streets to kick-start the festival.
European artists shared their expertise in prop-making techniques‚ while local artists performed various traditional arts that have been handed down from their forefathers.
The Nomad Theater Company‚ the first street theater troupe in Morocco played a big part in making this festival possible.
The teams and performers involved came together with a sole purpose‚ to bring theater to people with little or no access to it.
It's good news for full-figured fashionistas who are comfortable and confident with their body.
Full-figured Fashion Week opened in New York recently.
The four-day event will bring together plus-sized consumers‚ designers and retailers.
At a time when obesity rates are on the rise‚ the fashion world is looking to capitalize on the ever-expanding market for fashion-conscious plus-sized women.
Full-figured Fashion Week founder Gwen DeVoe pointed out that the plus-size market is not to be overlooked by designers and retailers‚ as consumers spend around 25 million US dollars every year on plus-size items.
Organizers of the event pointed out that although there has been some progress in the way full-figured women are portrayed in today's media‚ there's still a lot of work to be done.
According to recent scientific findings‚ global warming may wipe out select species of lizards by 2080.
If the temperature of the planet continues to rise at the current rate‚ 20 percent of all lizard species will find less time to eat or mate and will ultimately go extinct.
As various lizards that eat insects or are eaten by birds play pivotal roles in the food chain‚ the consequences of their disappearance could be fatal.
Lizards are entirely dependent on the external environment to control their body temperature.
And because they cannot sweat or pant‚ they have to keep out of the sun to cool down.
More time spent in the shade equates to less time spent finding food or breeding.
Also the high temperatures may bake the eggs of certain lizard species.
Scientists have discovered that certain species of reptiles are migrating to the north or moving to higher ground to keep cool.
