Public servants working at the lowest rank with the role of technical support will soon be promoted to a higher grade.
The Korean government announced on Tuesday that it will promote the lowest grade‚ 10‚ to the higher level 9 by May of next year and ultimately abolish the grade 10 position altogether.
Government officials explained that this is to give workers equal treatment with other general service positions mainly administrative where grade 9 is the lowest.
