Typhoon Meari‚ approaching from Taiwan‚ is expected to hit the Korean peninsula on Sunday.
Floods from the tropical storm‚ which formed in the seas off the Philippines‚ has reportedly affected hundreds of thousands people in the Southeast Asian country‚ according to local authorities‚ with 15 people reported missing.
The storm moved away from the Philippines on Saturday and is now heading toward Korea.
With Meari expected to unleash more than 300 millimeters of rain on Korea by Monday‚ the city of Seoul's emergency management agency is on special duty this weekend to cope with potential damage and emergencies.
