A former presidential aide has been brought in for questioning on allegations he accepted bribes for favors in the ever-escalating Busan Saving Bank scandal.
Kim Hae-soo‚ the current CEO of Korea Construction Management Corporation‚ is suspected of taking tens of thousands of dollars from Busan Savings Bank in return for helping it win favors in a construction project in the nation's western port city of Incheon last May.
The Supreme Prosecutor's Office has secured a confession from a Busan Savings Bank lobbyist in custody over Kim's involvement.
Kim served as a political affairs aide to the president from 2008 to 2010.
