Another one of Seoul's government ministries has instructed its state-run institutions and companies to purchase their Maintenance‚ Repair and Operation materials from small and medium-sized businesses.
The Ministry of Knowledge Economy said Thursday that it issued such a recommendation to institutions and public companies belonging to the ministry in an effort to follow President Lee Myung-bak's campaign for shared growth.
Earlier this week‚ the Ministry of Public Administration and Security issued similar orders to its related institutions and companies.
There are currently 16 institutions and 60 public companies‚ such as the Korea Electric Power Corporation‚ under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.
