Former finance minister Kang Man-soo has been recommended to become the new head of KDB Financial Group‚ which controls Korea Development Bank.
The Financial Services Commission recommended President Lee Myung-bak's special economic adviser on Thursday to chair the state-run bank.
The 65-year-old led the Ministry of Strategy and Finance from 2008 to 2009 after serving in the public sector for nearly 40 years.
If appointed‚ Kang would replace Min Euoo-sung‚ who has led KDB since 2008.
