Nightmare Range] "The Stryker Brigade Combat team came all the way from Fort-Lewis‚ Washington to participate a live-fire drill in Korea‚ as part of the Foal Eagle exercises."
About 40 US soldiers along with the four armored vehicles arrived in Korea about a week ago to participate in this year's exercises.
The Stryker Brigade Combat Team is known to be one of the fastest units in the US Army that could be deployed to Korea in less than a day in the event of a threat of war on the Korean peninsula.

US Army] "If you look at the package coming by air‚ what we are talking about is‚ really an 18 hours-plus capability to get the initial forces here on the ground from the continental United States."
One of the advantages the Stryker vehicles boast is speed as they can go close to 100 kilometers per hour.
And the high-tech system inside enables troops to easily commuicate with each other and track enemy targets day or night.

US Army] " One of the several things Strykers does bring is some mobility under wheels could navigate some of these tight areas. The ability to move infantry in them protected from small arms fire and artillery. The communications on board that allow us to persistently locate where these are and communicate the soldiers that operate away from the vehicles."
US military officials say the Stryker Brigade Combat Team will continue with its commitment to defend Korea and enhance the defensive ability of Korean troops to be fully ready for any emergency contingencies.
