Tuition costs for first year pharmacy college students rose by more than 30 percent in some cases this year compared to last year.
According to a pharmacy college student group‚ 17 out of 20 pharmacy colleges in the country raised their tuitions for incoming freshmen saying that they need more investment to improve education facilities as part of an expanded curriculum introduced this year.
Out of the 20 colleges‚ eight have raised tuition costs by more than ten percent while three have gone up by over 30 percent.
The students' group called the tuition hike unfair and said it will soon make public its position on the measure.`
