Bacteria responsible for causing food poisoning has been found in powdered baby formula.
The National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service said Maeil Dairies' powdered formula was found to contain bacteria which can cause food poisoning by producing heat-stable toxins.
Roughly 38-thousand cans have been sold so far and consumers are now being warned not to consume the product and return it back to the store.
Meanwhile‚ Maeil argues that they ran tests on their products for contamination and found the results to be negative.
And the company plans to demand that the research and quarantine service provide detailed test results.
