There‚ President Lee also urged the enhancement in interoperability of different military organizations in the face of a changing war paradigm as North Korea is believed to possess a substantial arsenal of nuclear weapons and missiles.

Citing the fact that there are some 1‚400 South Korean soldiers dispatched to 17 countries‚ President Lee also called on the military to be responsible for ensuring not only peace on the Korean peninsula‚ but also the world to suit Korea's enhanced status in the global arena.
