Two rounds of rocket-propelled grenades fell nearby Korea's provincial reconstruction team base in Afghanistan on Thursday‚ but fortunately no casualties were reported.
Officials in Seoul say two explosions were heard just outside the Charikar base at around 9:10 p.m.‚ local time.
A US attack helicopter reconnaissance team and Afghan police were dispatched to the area.
While no one has claimed responsibility for the attack‚ it appears likely that it was launched by the Taliban.
Concerns are rising over the safety of the nearly 4-hundred Korean aid workers at the base as this incident comes just one month after the base was first attacked by Taliban fighters.
