He went on to assure that Korea can become a model nation in the international arena if it continues its fair society drive.
The Korean leader also called on the public to mature in tandem with the country's constant economic growth‚ stressing it is important for society's fairness to correspond with income levels.
President Lee's will to realize a fair society was first introduced in his Liberation Day speech on August 15th last year‚ where he pledged to work towards establishing social justice.
Presidential Office spokesperson Kim Hee-jung told reporters that the government will primarily focus on five policy directions- fair military conscription‚ taxation‚ educational opportunities‚ labor and personnel management of public officials.
