Government officials and experts from East Asia and Latin America specializing in "ecotourism" gathered in Seoul‚ Wednesday for a meeting to promote low-carbon green growth initiatives through the tourism industry.
A pioneer in ecotourism and a renowned expert from Mexico Hector Ceballos-Lascurain opened the 2nd annual Ecotourism Conference represented by the inter-governmental Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation.
Delegates from ten countries including Costa Rica‚ Equador and Thailand focused their discussions on efforts being made within the tourism industry and by governments to promote ecotourism and to counter climate change.
