The Ice Queen's victory marks Korea's first Olympic gold medal in a sport other than speed skating.
The Olympic champion's long-time rival‚ Mao Asada of Japan‚ who went into the free skate trailing by 4.7-2 points skated right after Yu-na and failed to shake off the enormous pressure botching two of her jumps.
